The babies are coming: L&D Nurses needed at Swedish Issaquah
September may be the most common month for births, but our Swedish Issaquah campus is bucking the trend—and getting ready for a baby boom.
Counter to what’s happening nationally, where experts like Brookings have forecasted a baby bust due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with the potential for 300,000 fewer births than normal at the end of 2020 and in 2021, we’re anxiously awaiting the arrival of more little ones than usual. That’s why we’re actively hiring Labor & Delivery RNs to join our collaborative team.

Every year, more babies are born at Swedish than at any other health system in Western Washington. That’s because we give our patients peace of mind through the entire process, supporting families through typical and difficult pregnancies, as well as caring for newborns who need extra medical attention.

A special delivery for a special day
One day after Swedish Issaquah opened its doors in 2011, caregivers welcomed the first baby born at the campus: 8-pound, 20-inch-long Liliana Yozelin, born at 7:23 a.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 2, child of Zulma Gutierrez-Tiznado and Francisco Javier Rodriguez of Issaquah. From then until now, the team has remained committed to helping families welcome their new arrivals to the world.
The view from Swedish Issaquah
The modern, five-story, 550,000 square foot Swedish Issaquah campus is a beautiful workplace with sweeping views of nearby mountains and retail stores in the breezeway. It serves Issaquah as well as the neighboring communities of Sammamish, South Bellevue, Fall City, and Snoqualmie. What to do off the clock
At the base of the Cascade Mountain Range, and just a short commute from Seattle and Bellevue, Issaquah is an outdoor-enthusiast’s paradise. Surrounded by hiking trails and Lake Washington, there are so many nearby places to explore, offering tons of recreation opportunities, from hiking to biking to skiing to boating.
Downtown Issaquah is a community with small-town charm and big-city leisure options, including excellent dining options and local events that draw a crowd.
