Your physical health plays a big role in how you feel, work and live. Providence Swedish offers industry-leading medical, dental and vision plans, often with lower deductibles than at other health systems. We also offer High-Deductible Health Plans, which are often combined with a Health Savings Account, a tax-advantaged way to save for qualified medical expenses such as dental procedures or prescription medications.

Caregivers can easily manage medical benefits in one place, and are supported by resources like Health Care 101 videos and HealthEquity tools designed to help them make smart decisions for their situation and budget.

Mental health support for every type of need

Mental health is critical for caregivers and it matters at every stage of life. Our benefits include:

  • Confidential support when needed: The Caregiver Assistance Program offers no-cost, private mental wellness support, including 25 free counseling sessions annually for caregivers and each member of their family. For example, if they have three in their family, that’s a total of 75 hours of free support each year—for anything from stress, burnout, family issues or emotional strain to professional coaching.
  • Everyday tools for mental wellness: CredibleMind provides self-guided tools like articles, videos and podcasts focused on stress, anxiety, grief, relationships and sleep issues. These resources meet caregivers where they are, allowing flexible, self-paced exploration.

Financial wellness that supports real life

Financial stress impacts overall well-being, affecting sleep, relationships, focus and peace of mind. Our benefits include:

Everyday financial guidance and long-term planning. These resources help caregivers build confidence in budgeting, planning and saving, whether for current expenses or future goals. Retirement resources assist with enrollment, changes and beneficiaries, helping caregivers confidently prepare for the future. Caregivers have access to financial consultants who can help them tackle debt, set goals and understand opportunities, and can help with:

Support during hard times. Providence Swedish has programs like Financial Assistance for personal money issues, Helping Hands for emergency aid, and MPAP for affordable medical coverage based on income.

Extra savings opportunities. Benefits-eligible caregivers can access Choose Well Discounts for preferred pricing and long-term savings.

Family and lifestyle support for life beyond the workplace

Life outside of work is full of responsibilities, and caregivers do not stop being parents, partners, adult children, pet owners or family organizers when the workday begins.

Backup care and family support. For those who are also caregivers off the clock, Bright Horizons Back-Up Care provides access to back-up care for children, adult and elder family members when regular arrangements fall through. We help find additional support, whether it’s reliable full-time childcare, or finding elder care, a trusted sitter, a dog walker or a housekeeper. For those caring for aging parents, children or other family members, support like this can reduce stress and make work-life balance more possible.

Academic and emotional support for children. Virtual tutoring is available for children ages 5 to 18 who need help with homework or dedicated support in a specific area. And they have access to the same mental wellness benefits their caregiver parents receive through Lyra, including free mental health therapy, coaching and more. 

Commuter benefits. The Caregiver Commute Portal makes getting to and from work simpler with a discounted ORCA Pass and eligibility for the Guaranteed Ride Home program and Vanpool/Vanshare program. Parking programs are also available for all caregivers and vary by campus.

Comprehensive legal support. Caregivers dealing with family matters, financial challenges, property concerns or legal disputes have access to a free 30-minute legal consultation, per topic, per year. They can also receive 25 percent off attorney fees and access to a portal with legal forms, templates, articles, definitions and court rulings. Caregivers can get help with:
